Shady Acres RV Park & Campground - Green River UT

108.3 miles

Taken from the car on our way out of the Park

What a treat today to go to Goblin Valley State Park.  The route itself is colorful.

There are no words to explain the reaction to this area.  The hoodoos are spread over a 3 square mile area and are made of Entrada sandstone deposited during the Jurassic period 180-140 million years ago.

Looking down from the Observation Deck

The photos below are taken on the floor of the valley.

When we woke up this morning it was 38 degrees and when we arrived at Goblin Valley State Park it was 48 degrees.  I put on a sweatshirt, parka, toque, gloves and two pairs of pants, some of which were slowly removed the more we walked around.  At one point Norm found these two goblins with a platform between them and asked me to stand up there for a photo.  As you can see, I couldn't get my leg up with two pairs of pants on but by that time I had removed the sweatshirt, parka and gloves  - hahahahaha.

On our way out of the park and back to the highway.
